Just like my Grandma use to make -
an original comfort food!!!
NEEDED TO COMPLETE:
1 1/2 lbs. ground beef
-or- 1 Pint Canned Beef, shredded
Water – 5 1/2 C. for Dinner
-or- 7 C. for Soup
1 (4 oz.) can Mushrooms (optional)
If using ground beef: In skillet, brown ground beef, draining off fat, set aside.
In Dutch oven, bring water to a hard simmer. While stirring, gradually add dinner mix. Continue stirring to thoroughly combine mix in water; bring to a boil. Add ground beef or shredded beef. Reduce heat to simmer, cover and cook approx. 10 minutes. Remove lid and let gently simmer until noodles are tender for soup and sauce has thickened to desired amount for dinner. NOTE: sauce thickens as it cools.
Ingredients: Amish made egg noodles, cornstarch, country gravy powder, brown gravy mix, beef soup base, onion powder, garlic powder, basil, oregano, pepper.
